Product Revision Change for nVent HOFFMAN Air Conditioners: Refrigerant Change

At nVent HOFFMAN, being a good steward of the environment is integral to how we operate. Our innovation, adaptability and continuous improvement approach allows us to help protect natural resources and provide value to our customers and the communities where we live and work. Improving our environmental impact is a priority throughout our organization, and with this in mind, we are switching the refrigerant used in some of our climate control products. Models that currently use R134a refrigerant will be converted to the more eco friendly R513A alternative, resulting in a 56% reduction in Global Warming Potential. This product revision change will not impact the form, fit, or functionality of the products. We expect to complete this transition for the product families listed below by the end of 2024.

List of product families to be transitioned:
ProAir Harsh Environment: CR23, CR29, CR43
SpectraCool Indoor/Outdoor: G28, G52
SpectraCool Compact Indoor: N17
T-Series Compact Outdoor: T15, T20
Extreme AC: X23
SpectraCool Narrow Indoor/Outdoor: N16, N21, N28, N36, N43
SpectraCool Narrow Hazardous Location: NHZ28, NHZ36, NHZ43

The product labels, website and literature will reflect these changes as part of the product revision change. Current products in the field or in warehouses will not be impacted and can still be used without any issues. Products using R134a will continue to be supported by nVent after the transition.
